In the abrasive paper production line, the vacuum roller (or suction roller) plays a critical role in using negative pressure (suction) to stably and non-destructively transport semi-finished abrasive paper. This is especially important during key stages such as glue coating, abrasive application (making), and drying, ensuring production continuity and product quality.
The specific functions are as follows:
Adsorption transport to avoid damage: A uniform suction force generated through densely distributed small holes on the roller surface securely holds the soft abrasive paper base (after glue coating) against the roller during transport. This prevents slipping or misalignment and avoids indentations, tears, or other damage that may result from mechanical clamping.
Flattening for better abrasive application: The strong suction force completely flattens the base material against the roller surface, creating an absolutely even working surface for the abrasive application process. This is key to ensuring that abrasive grains are uniformly and firmly embedded in the adhesive.
Tension control for smooth drying: The adsorption force helps regulate the tension of the base material, allowing it to enter the drying oven smoothly. Additionally, this adsorption transport method increases the exposed surface area of the base material inside the drying oven, improving thermal efficiency.
It is worth mentioning that the vacuum roller generates its adsorption force through a non-contact "air pressure difference." During production, an external vacuum pump removes air from inside the roller via pipes, creating negative pressure. The external air then presses the abrasive paper against the roller surface.
-Winsing Suction Drum (Vacuum Roll) is designed to manage max web widths of 1650 or customize.
-To optimize vacuum surface on different web widths, the roll can be realized with adjustable vacuum area.
-Any type of material could be managed with a total web pulling force up to 2500 N.
- Other pulling force values can be realized upon request.
